It was only bad if if you did nothing in 2009, exactly nothing. But for me, I look back just not too far, and I realized that 2009 was a great learning experience to move forward through 2010. I cared less about the bad things that went on, that “i dont give a fuck” attitude, and just focused on the good things. Also the people I met over that time and the things I did helped shaped my thoughts and feelings or my mentality, a positive outlook of whats to come. I’m glad I did something; came out when someone called me out, smile because I felt like smiling, took that shot when someone hands me that shot, dance with that girl who grabs my hand and drags me into the dancefloor, waving to a stranger while not expecting a wave back, etc, etc.. Just crazy, take opportunities and be able to create opportunities.

I gotta say, I have so many reasons why I am honored to have such great friends around me. One example would be given my current broke-ass-bum situation, I was not able to buy anyone gifts for this holiday season. Despite me asking that they did not have to get me anything, they did anyways and they not expect anything return. That is truly the definition of a gift, something from the heart. That itself really made me smile, I won’t forget it. Merry Christmas!
